Part Time Printing Technician I

The City of Sterling Heights is seeking a Part-Time Printing Technician I who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence!

The Part-Time Printing Technician I is eligible to receive a top of the market compensation starting at $19.8581 per hour and a generous schedule of paid time off (PTO).

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Community Relations Director, the Part-Time Printing Technician I performs a variety of tasks related to print shop operations, including operating printing equipment, setting up and adjusting printing settings, managing print orders, and ensuring that all printed materials meet quality standards. The Printing Technician I is also responsible for managing the inventory of printed forms for City departments, ordering supplies, and maintaining print shop equipment. The Printing Technician I must be knowledgeable about different types of printing techniques and materials, as well as able to troubleshoot and solve problems related to the printing process. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are of the utmost importance in preparing and printing forms, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, and other printed matter.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.

• One year of paid experience working in a print shop using various machinery including digital printer, paper folder, direct image camera, booklet maker, power paper cutter, etc.
