JOB SUMMARY
This part-time position is responsible for the enforcement of City codes and ordinances, specifically those codes and ordinances that pertain to public property, parks, greenbelts, and Lake Peachtree.
WORK SCHEDULE
Wednesday 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Thursday 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs duties as a sworn officer of the Peachtree City Municipal Court; prepares and presents cases and testifies on behalf of the City.
Checks and monitors City facilities, public property, parks, greenbelts, and paths for violations of City ordinances, codes, and related regulations.
Provides information and explanations of codes and ordinances to citizens and property owners.
Issues notices and orders for the proper satisfaction of violations.
Receives and records reports of violations and alleged violations from citizens and takes action to correct such violations.
Prepares forms to issue warnings for violations; maintains accurate reports and records regarding inspection activities.
Identifies safety hazards at City facilities and reports through appropriate channels.
Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
