The Temple Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a position available for a student intern (paid position) to work with the Technology Division.

The successful candidate will assist with various needs and projects for the technology support team. The candidate will review and create dashboards for temple department technology assets and support data. This internship will focus on utilizing Microsoft Power Platforms tools.

Although some flexibility in hours is possible, the candidate will be expected to work 20-28 hours per week during normal business hours (Monday through Friday). This is a Hybrid Work Position. One workday a week (Tuesday), the intern is expected to work in person at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City. The other days of the week can be Work from Home. Student interns typically work for 6-12 months, depending on project needs.

  • College student majoring in Business, Information Systems, or similar field.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills along with a desire to learn.

  • Experience creating reports and dashboards from data sets.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform - Power Apps, Form, Flow, PowerBI.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be able to take initiative with limited direction from the project management team lead.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills to report results.

  • Must be an endowed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a current temple recommend.

  • The intern receives assignments from supervising staff.

  • The manager reviews the intern's work occasionally.

  • The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is completed.

  • The intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines.

  • The intern is expected to work in harmony with other people.

  • The intern is expected to take direction on each assignment.

  • The intern is expected to give full attention to detail.

  • Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required.

  • Sound judgment of church doctrine, history, organization, policy, and protocol are also expected.

  • The intern is expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all projects they participate in.
