What our Part-Time hiring process is like:

While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role. After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.

After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email. We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.

This position will be working out of the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL.

A quick summary about the Part-Time Osceola Magic TD/Director role:

The TD/Director serves as the primary conduit for the In-Arena Video Production and simultaneous streaming/broadcast. They are responsible for the proper execution of the show as dictated by the Osceola Magic game production and marketing staff and NBA/G-League and are the final checkpoint between the control room and the displays and online streaming feed. They direct the composition of the camera operators and angles for replay playback and responsible for the proper execution of the show as dictated by Osceola Magic game production and marketing staff. Games are also simulcast via web stream and/or broadcast partner.

What the position will be responsible for:

The TD/Director will be responsible for the operation of the Ross Carbonite switcher, checking and switching between video sources and taking responsibility for the in-arena show and online stream/broadcast, including camera shots, replays, pre-produced video elements, and graphics.

• Testing of all equipment and event triggers, including, but not limited to, the Ross Carbonite, video router, audio monitoring, replay wipes and graphic elements.

• Following the instructions of the show event producer instantaneously during the show in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborate with Osceola Magic production team during cue-to-cue rehearsal.

• Manage multiple MEs, chroma key elements, server playbacks, replay wipes, key/fill elements, still stores.

• Work with the LED Chief to ensure proper coordination between any in game elements as needed.

• Work with the event producer to ensure all elements playback properly prior to the start of the event.

• Work with the EIC to ensure all communications are tested properly.

• Guide the Camera Operators on shot selection and framing. Guide the replay operators on angle and style of individual replays and packages.

• Work with the EIC and Replay to ensure proper recording of the event.

• Participate and lead cue-to-cue rehearsal through all elements as scripted by the event producer.

• Report any technical, staffing or production issues promptly to the EIC and Senior Control Room Manager

• Assist in the technical strike of the Broadcast Technology Equipment, including but not limited to the radio equipment, camera equipment, and scorer's table as determined by the Control Room Senior Manager and EIC.

• All other duties as assigned.

What is required for the role:

• College degree or equivalent experience required.

• 3-5 years of live video technical directing & show directing experience required.

• Knowledge of NBA, NBA G-League and Osceola Magic.

• Live sports video production experience strongly required.

Physical requirements

• Sitting for long periods of time.
