Work Environment
Work schedule will go up to Monday-Friday from 2:15-5:30pm for the 36 weeks that school is in session.
The bulk of the work will be at the Stone Center and Stone Park.
60% of this job is indoors and 40% outdoors and requires work in all types of weather.
The stress level is average.

Purpose of Position
The Overtime at the OPC Counselor is a Part-Time position in the Park Commission. This position is responsible for the overseeing of campers and recreational activities held at the Stone Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
As a counselor your responsibilities will be
To assist in supervising up to 40 kids with additional counselors.
Follow handbook
Making sure daily plans are followed to keep days organized
Make changes to daily activities as needed
Make sure children are treated equally, fairly, and with respect
Make sure that you are involved with the children at all times
Make sure that you are communicating with children in a positive manner
Supervisors will regulate when there are behavior issues.
Major issues will be reported to Recreation Director.
Special Requirements
Graduation from a standard high school or GED equivalency or actively enrolled in school is required
Good physical condition
A valid driver's license and social security card
A successful background check
Able to obtain a CPR Certification
