Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting for a Part Time Office Assistant on the Gainesville campus. Under the general direction of the Admin Support Manager for the IHA, This position conducts diversified and complex duties that may be confidential in nature for the IHA's university operations and with university colleagues including, but not limited to, the Registrar's Office, IT/Banner Team, Web Team, Strategic Communications, Faculty Records, Purchasing, Travel and Advancement. In this capacity, the Admin Assistant will collaborate with the Director of the IHA, the Admin Support Manager, Gerontology Coordinator, faculty and students in the GERO academic programs.
This position is contingent on approval and funding of the Institute of Healthy Aging contract.
Responsibilities
Execute purchasing requests with state, grant, contract, indirect and multiple foundation accounts including oversight of competitive estimates, invoicing, supporting documentation and budgetary approvals.
Coordinate travel arrangements for IHA team including authorization and reimbursement processes.
Build fall, spring and summer schedules in Banner for the Gerontology programs and assist students with registration.
Maintain accurate faculty records for faculty teaching for the IHA including contract addendums, departmental agreements and complete payment processes in Banner REP 192 and Personnel Action Forms.
Support the IHA's Advisory Boards including communication to members, meeting preparation and documents.
Support the IHA's relationship with the Wisdom Project's Leadership Program including preparing session materials.
Establish and maintain relationships with key departments and university personnel.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CANVA.
Works well in a team environment and adapts skills in a constantly changing environment.
