Job Description:

MAJOR FUNCTION

Processes customer sales, payment transactions, and completes customer service tickets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Balances cash fund every morning and evening

  • Prepares bank deposits and daily closing summary

  • Closes the daily A/R accurately and before the cut-off time

  • Maintains an organized and secure office environment

  • Answers incoming calls, distributes calls, takes messages, and checks store's voicemail

  • Completes opening/closing procedure checklists

  • Reviews the Delivery Inquiry to verify all sales are in a confirmed status for the next 8 delivery days. Informs customers of arriving Customer Pick Ups (CPU).

  • Processes customer sales and account transactions.

  • Handles customer complaints, opens store notes, and follows up on existing customer service tickets

  • Works the Expected Deliveries to ensure sales are completed and schedules deliveries as needed. Enters necessary customer comments in notepad.

  • Runs and works the daily reports including but not limited to:

    • Confirmed Not Delivered
  • -Cancels Confirmed Not Received

  • Reviews and follows up on pending sale statuses, i.e., requested cancellations and pending layaway sales, etc.

  • Files (PC Office) or prepares (Branch Office) daily paperwork, i.e. CPUs, CRTs, Credit Applications, End of the Day Reports, etc.

  • Collects and secures original Credit Applications, sends original documents to Havertys Credit Services on the 1st and 15th of each month.

  • Communicates with Havertys Credit Services for account requests and follow-up.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years' experience actively working with the public in a customer service position, preferably in retail. One to three years of monetary or cash handling experience highly preferred, i.e., Banking, Customer Service, Data Entry, Office Administration, Medical Records, etc. Training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Qualifications

General computer skills required with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

Strong math skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to multi-task

Highly organized

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions

Must be able to work independently while using discretion

Furniture knowledge preferred

We are currently seeking a Part Time Fleet & Facilities Coordinator to work in our Columbus, OH office. This position is part time some weekends and evenings will be required during times of business need. Job Summary: Assist in the management of ARC properties, facilities and vendor contracts. Direct the maintenance and repair of buildings, labs, offices and grounds. May oversee receipt, inventory and distribution of materials. May also assist in maintaining the vehicle fleet. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Provides customer service in the area of Regional Fleet Management. Assist with the management of fleet operation for the Region. Manages the Regional Fleet Programs for motor vehicle registrations; operator and organizational maintenance; vehicle emergency safety equipment; issue, use and inventory accountability of ARI gasoline and minor maintenance cards; enforcement of authorized use of ARC vehicles; vehicle sales; accident, recovery and claims; and formulation and compliance of fleet budgets. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Responsibilities (Fleet): 1. Supervises the daily maintenance and repair of Regional Fleet Maintenance Program. 2. Assists as required with emergency situations that involve vehicle breakdowns and repairs of fleet assets. 3. Assigns vehicles to the Regional staff for official business trips. 4. Maintains DOT vehicle maintenance and required inspections in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and ARC directives. 5. Assist as warranted in covering blood drives during emergency situations. 6. Ensures that Mobile Unit vehicle assignments are adequate blood drive coverage relative to out of service units. 7. Assist with the scheduling of vehicle maintenance and ensure accuracy of vehicle assignment, dates and times. 8. Coordinate fleet repairs with Regional Departments and Districts and that work is done in a timey manner. 9. Oversees the functional area delineated in the above Job Summary. 10. Ensures the accuracy of the fleet data base. 11. Assist General Services Manager in the formulation of the Transportation Department Budget. 12. Renews vehicle insurance cards and ensures that vehicles requiring County emission tests are completed on time. 13. Ensure that all vehicle decals and licensing remain current 14. On call 24/7 for emergency purposes. 15. Performs other duties as assigned. 16. May assist with the periodic movement of vehicles within the region. Responsibilities (Facilities): 1. Directs the work of service vendor staff involved with the maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings, grounds, labs and equipment. 2. May perform receipt of inventory and distribution of materials. 3. Oversees work performed by outside contractors. 4. Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and practices in adherence to regulatory requirements as needed. 5. May perform responsibilities with regards to processes and contact negotiations. 6. May assist in writing, organizing and maintaining technical sections of the department procedure manual. 7.
