The Oregon Clinic is seeking a part-time Patient Services Representative to join our OBGYN clinic at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland. Full-time hours may be available in the future. Weekly schedule will vary and Saturdays are required. An example of a proposed schedule is: Tuesday-Thursday: 10:30 a.m.
6:00 p.m., Saturday: 8:00 a.m.
4:00 a.m. There is some flexibility with this.
This position involves heavy phone work and backs up check-in and check-out processes. Other responsibilities include collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments for new and established patients, working with medical records & scanning, and cross-training in other areas as needed. Strong communication skills and experience multi-tasking are required. This is a very busy customer-service based position so the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a friendly demeanor, great attitude, a strong work ethic and desire to work as a team. Additionally, we are looking for candidates with at least 1 year of experience working in a medical front office, and two years in customer service. Candidates must have strong customer service skills, the ability to multitask, work cooperatively in a team environment and communicate effectively with staff, patients and physicians. Starting pay range, based on experience: $14.34 - $17.92 per hour.

Minimum of 1 year of medical front office experience
Prior experience with Centricity preferred
Excellent phone skills and customer service skills
