Schedule: This position is part-time, with a tentative schedule of Monday
Wednesday, from 7am
11am. We are seeking a candidate that is flexible to work up to 29 hours on an as needed basis.
Pay: $15-$17/hr DOE
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Medical Director and Physicians Assistant.
Assist with physicals; interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and record information on patients' charts.
Collect urine samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
Perform vaccination administration.
Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Perform basic first aid for minor cuts and injuries under the supervision of Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NA), or Physicians Assistant (PA).
Effectively communicate with Doctor's office personnel in obtaining additional medical information when necessary.
Stay current on all necessary training and requirements mandated by Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in vaccination administration; ability to work well with others; familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within particular field; relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Education: High school diploma/GED and Medical Assistant certificate.
Experience Required: One to two (1-2) years of experience in a related field.
