Marquette is recruiting for one hospitality focused Line Cook to join our culinary team! We are looking for a cook to join our Independent Living kitchen team! This role provides full-scope preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes and following all procedures and regulations pertaining to food preparation.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Line Cook:
Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations.
Attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Follows Marquette policies and procedures.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
A minimum of (3) three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution; or culinary advanced education.
Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.
ServeSafe Certified or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire date.
