The position of Lifeguard and Swim Instructor is a Open Until Filled so that we can find the ideal candidates for our amazing team. There are 10-30 openings for this position.

As a Part-Time Temporary worker in the position of Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, you will ensure the safety and well-being of each patron using the UCC pool facilities by preventing and responding to emergencies. The Lifeguard will work directly with participants providing courteous, friendly and professional assistance. As an instructor, you are in charge of classes of varying size, from private lessons to group instruction.  This position provides continuous service to the public, especially the parents of children receiving lessons, which requires courtesy, patience, and diplomacy. Decisions are made daily on a variety of issues dealing with participants in the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 15 years old.

• Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or able to achieve it by hired date.

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

• Some Teaching Experience

• Swimming background
