West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for a 9-month, Part-time FTE 0.33 Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Lecturer position in Non Tenure Track. This position will report to the Chair of the Family/Community Health Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Didactic Teaching in psychiatric/mental health nursing the BSN program.

• Clinical Teaching in psychiatric/mental health nursing the BSN program. In addition to clinical teaching, other formats of teaching, including

• skills lab, small group, and simulation teaching may be included.

• Advising students in the BSN program.

Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and be enrolled in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one year of employment as a faculty member; or have a bachelor's degree with a major in nursing and at least two years of direct patient care experience in nursing.

• Required to have unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.

• Applicants with three years of teaching experience in nursing are encouraged to apply.

• Demonstrable ability of current nursing practices sufficient to demonstrate professional competence.

• Initial appointment for Instructor in Clinical Education Track requires: two years of professional nursing practice experience.
