About the job:
Assist Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) program with maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair of more than 25,000 acres of military training land.
A day in the life:
Conduct invasive woody vegetation control, primarily through bush-hogging and prescribed herbicide application
Conduct land restoration including revegetation and habitat conversion, plowing, tilling, disking, planting and soil stabilization
Drive vehicles such as pickup trucks and ATVs
Receive training and operate agricultural tractors and associated implements/attachments
Receive training and operate herbicide application equipment
Perform PMCS (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services) on all equipment
Assist the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Coordinator with collection of GPS data for ITAM projects
What we are looking for:
Valid high school diploma or GED; or one (1) year of work experience.
