Job Description:
This position will be working directly with VP Strategy and Finance to research an early-stage R&D project. A successful candidate will be a self-driven scientist capable of working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent qualitative and quantitative skills in researching, reviewing, and communicating biomedical primary literature and research, including clinical trial data. We are looking for candidates who have a strong scientific curiosity and attention to detail with the ability to distill complex information into key points to drive conclusions and next steps.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for conducting primary literature research and summarizing current status
Review and summarize drug patents (focusing on the scientific innovation)
Present new findings and develop ideas and/or hypotheses to drive potential R&D innovation
Collaborate closely with R&D team and leaders to incorporate feedback and iterate on project strategy and scope
Performs other duties as assigned[1]
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry or directly relevant fields
Fourth year graduate student and above, currently in a biomedical Ph.D. program with strong hands-on and wet-lab experience in cancer biology, oncology, cell signaling and/or cytotoxic medicinal chemistry
Experience or knowledge in synthetic biology and general biotech industries is a plus
Existing peer-reviewed publications, review articles and/or conference presentation is a strong plus
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint presentation (academic style)
Need to be able commit to at least 4-8 hours a week
In-person preferred, Remote will be considered
Must work Pacific Time hours.
Additional Information:
Hourly rate: $65.00 - $95.00/hour
