Part-Time Instructor, Medication Administration Training (Ddmat)

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience teaching in a health-related class/program preferred.

• Current RN license to practice in Oklahoma is required.

• Must attend DDMAT Train the Trainer program and recieve instructor approval through DDS-Oklahoma Human Services upon employment.

• The work schedule for this position requires flexibility to teach adult students several days a month as scheduled throughout the school year.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.

• Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.

• Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.

• Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.

• Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.

• Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. - prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)

• Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.

• Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.

• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees

$40 per hour
