General Responsibilities
Adjunct Instructor-The successful candidate will have theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on ability in various shipboard engineering systems. The instructor would work in one of the following labs/classes: Internal Combustion Engines, Auxiliary Machinery, Steam Generation, Refrigeration, Machine Tools, Operational Controls, or Electrical Machines.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or appropriate field
Minimum of three years of teaching experience or professional experience in a relevant discipline(s)
Have held an unlimited Second Assistant Engineer license or greater, or currently possess an active Third Assistant Engineer's license, and
Demonstrated work history, teaching, and practical experience in the subject concentration
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution
Recent experience teaching or in professional service in the maritime field
Upper-level license
