BASIC FUNCTION:
We invite your application for this part-time position coaching the Yuba College intercollegiate football team. This position includes physical education teaching assignments, depending on the coach's academic credentials, not to exceed 67% of a full-time load. Coaching and teaching responsibilities under the supervision of the Director of Kinesiology, Health, Athletics, and in coordination with athletic trainers and the equipment room and facility staff. The football head coach plans, organizes, and administers all tasks associated with the intercollegiate program, including recruitment and selection of student-athletes; student-athlete academic and personal advising; coordination of student-athlete transfer to four-year institutions; practice and scrimmage scheduling; pre-season and in- season student-athlete conditioning; compliance of all CCCAA, Northern California Football Conference recruitment, eligibility and participation rules; making travel arrangements; budget management; procurement of equipment and supplies; public and media relations; fundraising; scheduling officials; and conference responsibilities. This position includes credit instruction in Kinesiology/physical education/athletics, both theory (lecture) and activity classes. These assignments may include a combination of day, evening and weekend classes.

Minimum qualifications of education and experience for the teaching assignments:
An earned Master's degree from an accredited college or university in physical education exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education;
OR an earned Bachelor's degree in any of the preceding AND an earned Master's degree in a life science, dance, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy;
OR the equivalent.
Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
