We're currently looking for a Global Compliance Student Intern to join our team. The position will be at the following location [Franklin TN HQ but mostly remote in the United States] and will be a part-time role; approximately 10 hours per week starting May 2024 with possibility to work more hours depending on program priorities.

This co-op position involves the following activities:
Translating written content from either English to Japanese or Japanese to English
Proofing content for publication
Other activities to support the Global Policy program and Global Compliance Office related to translations, proofing and publishing
Content types include: global policies, department procedures, global compliance training, website pages, compliance-related communications
Administration activities to support the Global Policy program
Providing recommendations on writing styles for easy translation between the two languages; maintaining proofing checklists, desk procedures and resources to support the Compliance Co-op role
Introductions and opportunity to network with global and US management in Nissan Legal, Communications, Compliance, and other organizations that routinely work with the Global Compliance team.
In order to qualify for this role, you must be:
Bilingual in English and Japanese with expertise in written translation between the two languages (exceptional writing skills between languages )
Pursuing a Master's degree in legal (preferred), business, communications, language studies or a related field
Legal background or experience
GPA of 3.0 or above
Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
Strong communication skills both written and oral
