Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting and administrative support, including confidential matters for up to 20 department members. Scope Sales Volume Accountability: 0 No direct reports No budget responsibility Reporting and Working Relationships Works with directors of Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Shared Services and small Maritz businesses. Primary Responsibilities 40% Performs a variety of accounting and clerical functions on a daily basis to serve as the foundation to accurately reflect the various small business financial positions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, journal entries, project accounting, month end closing and fixed assets. 30% Provides purchasing and new vendor set-up assistance for Corporate Procurement and Shared Services.
Creates vendor purchase orders for Corporate and Businesses on purchase requisitions along with assisting in new vendor set-up in the payables system. 30% Provides accounting and administrative assistance for Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Financial Shared Services including but not limited to: (a) proxy expense report completion; (b) supply ordering; (c) shipping documents; (d) travel reservations; (e) coordination of department moves; (f) Financial website documentation upkeep; (g) organization and filing. Responsible for numerous, varied administrative tasks, some of a confidential nature including employee profile and other employee administrative tracking for the departments. Qualifications 1.
Bachelor's degree desired 2. One to Three years in an accounts payable/accounts receivable bookkeeping position with journal entry responsibilities 3. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 4.
Excellent oral and written communication skills 5. Must be able to present ideas effectively 6. Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously 7.
