The Division of Church, Society, and Humanity at Eastern Nazarene College invites mission fit applicants for a part-time faculty position (approximately 15 hours a week starting June 2024) in the Social Sciences program, with a particular focus on supervision of students completing clinical training in the Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy (M.S.). All applicants should have a commitment to integrate Christian faith and learning in the classroom. Prior teaching experience is preferred, and demonstration of campus and community involvement is strongly encouraged. Successful applicants will be committed Christians and active in their local church. Duration of assignment, as well as rank and tenure status are negotiable based on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The primary responsibility of this position is the preparation and ongoing support for students as they enter the clinical training portion of their program. This includes oversight of PS600, the clinical experience practicum and internship for students in the MFT program.

• Additional teaching opportunities exist both in the MFT program and at the undergraduate level for qualified candidates.

• Other typical faculty responsibilities include attendance at faculty meetings and commencement, participation in faculty professional development sessions, and service to the program, college, and local community.

• Other duties as assigned in accordance with the contract.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• A licensed Massachusetts mental health practitioner with a minimum of three years of full-time or the equivalent part-time post-licensure clinical mental health counseling experience (e.g., licensed mental health counselor, independent clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, psychologist with a health services provider certification, etc.).

• Have completed a Master's degree in psychology or related field. Doctoral degree preferred.

• Prior experience with clinical supervision preferred for this role.

• Demonstrated skill in effective communication and organization.

• Demonstrate an active relationship with Christ as expressed in faith and service which is in accord with the mission of Eastern Nazarene College and display a philosophy of Christian higher education consistent with the college's Wesleyan tradition.
