The Respiratory Therapy Department at Vermont State University invites applications for Spring 2024 (January 22 - May 17, 2024).
The course to be taught is RSP 1012 Respiratory Care II - Lab Instruction
This course, the student learns the skills and techniques of managing and treating patients with respiratory needs. The clinical effects
of various types of respiratory therapy and diagnostic techniques are explored. Oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy are thoroughly
discussed. Lung expansion therapy, airway clearance therapy, and techniques of airway management are included. Respiratory Care
plans and interprofessional education are discussed.
3 hours of Lab Instruction per week at the VTSU Lab in Williston, VT
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, have previous relevant clinical experience in respiratory therapy and ideally as a clinical preceptor. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus.
An active unencumbered Vermont or New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner license or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont or New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner license required. A valid driver's license is required.
Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
