Part-Time Faculty: PSY 209 Foundations In Human Behavior Honors Fall 2024

The Psychology Department is seeking at part-time instructor to teach PSY 209 Foundations in Human Behavior Honors during the Fall 2024 semester.

Course Description: Fundamental principles of mental life and human behavior. Significance of psychology in human relationships and self-understanding, honors level.

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a MS degree in Psychology or related field. Ph.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.

• Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.

• Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.

• Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.

• Meeting all designated class periods.

• Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.

• Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.

• Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.

• Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
