The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Syracuse University is seeking part-time instructor(s) to teach 3-credit section of LIN 392/692 Second Language Acquisition, offered at the graduate and undergradaute levels in linguistics and psychology in the fall 2024 semester, Wednesdays 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. IN PERSON ONLY, which begins on August 26, 2024 (appointment begins on August 19, 2024). Offer is contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
Qualifications
Master's Degree; native or near-native fluency required. Experience in university-level teaching preferred.

Responsibilities
It is understood that teaching assignment may include:
Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
Meeting all designated class periods.
Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.
Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
