Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Department of English at Kennesaw State University is committed to excellent teaching, scholarship, and service to the university and the community. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions in the Department of English for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions will also serve as Part-Time Clinical Supervisors in English Education.

These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Student teaching/clinical supervision of English Education candidates during placements

• Teaching in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats

• Maintain regular communication with collaborating teachers, student interns, and English Education faculty

• Attend required KSU field experience seminars and other meetings related to field experience supervisor role

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of an earned Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English or English Education or a related field.

OR

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.

AND

• At least 5 years teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic coursework in English Education

• Experience mentoring teacher candidates

• Experience teaching in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats
