Looking for an exciting, on-going part time position? Do you love providing great customer service, interacting with the public and making a difference in the community? Come work with the City of San Marcos!
The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department welcomes qualified applications for the position of part time Recreation Maintenance Specialist.
The objective of the position is to provide high quality behind the scene preparation, maintenance and support functions throughout the Parks and Recreation Department. This department provides many community enrichment activities throughout the year to serve the needs of our active community. In order to pull off these "seemingly seamless" events, we are in search for a "jack-of-all-trades" to assist before, during and after these routine and large scale events.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about jumping into new and different projects while providing support to the multiple program areas within Parks and Recreation. This will include tasks such as preparing for and setting up events, assisting with the maintenance of department wide assets (checking equipment in and out), deep cleaning various areas of the facility on both a routine and as needed basis, minor equipment assembly and repair, delivering equipment and items to different city facility sites and providing back up coverage for facility attendants and performing front desk tasks, when needed.
If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service to community members and colleagues, enjoy making a difference in the community and are ready to roll your sleeves up to jump into the action with our Parks and Recreation Department, we look forward to reviewing your application.
