Summary:
Responsibilities include verifying publications upon arrival, counting, stacking and sorting multiple newspapers, then loading and hauling bundles in a company owned vehicle to a drop off location in Salinas. Night shift is currently Sunday-Tuesday and Friday- 11 pm to 3 am; Sat 9 pm to 12am/12:30am to 4 am; Wed-Thu off.
What you will do:
Verify publications upon arrival at warehouse
Count, stack and sort multiple newspapers
Load and haul bundles in a company vehicle to drop off location
Check to make sure the vehicle is equipped properly
Obey all traffic regulations and laws
Report any problems, concerns, or damage to the vehicle before completing the workday
Bend, stretch and lift bundles weighing up to 25 pounds
What you will bring:
Regular and reliable attendance
Ability to communicate verbally
Basic computer skills (ability to input timesheets)
Ability to safely operate a standard sized cargo van
Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack
Clean DMV record
High School diploma or equivalent experience required
Previous warehouse experience is a plus
