Located on the southeast Atlantic coast in Brunswick, midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, the College of Coastal Georgia is an undergraduate college in the University System of Georgia with an additional outreach through the Camden Center in Kingsland, Georgia. The College provides an affordable and interactive education in the natural beauty and abundant sunshine of Georgia's Golden Isles, an area noted for world-class golf courses and resorts as well as amazing diversity of maritime habitats, wildlife and sea creatures.

Job Summary

This temporary part-time position is responsible for assisting with the awarding, reconciliation, and notification of College of Coastal Georgia Scholarships. This position will work from April 2024 - August 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Scholarship Coordinator to ensure timely execution of scholarship timeline.

  • Track departmental scholarship awarding and allocations; communicate directly with departments as needed.

  • Monitoring and responding to the scholarship email account.

  • Review needs analysis reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Track scholarship recipient files to ensure acceptance completion; communicate directly with awardees as needed.

  • Work with Office of Admissions to award scholarships to incoming Freshmen.

  • Monitors continued eligibility of award recipients.

  • Performs related duties as assigned

  • Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field

Preferred Experience

  • BANNER Experience

  • Higher Education experience

  • Some knowledge of Federal and State Financial Aid

Proposed Salary

$18.51 / hr

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the BANNER financial aid module

  • Knowledge of the general data base operations

  • Knowledge of the federal and state student aid online reporting systems

  • Knowledge of the modern office methods, procedures, and equipment

Skills

  • Skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Mail

  • Skill in the operation of computers and job -related software programs

  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public

  • Skill in oral and written communication
