Niagara County Community College has a need for a part-time Culinary Community Education Technical Assistant to assist in teaching community education courses in Culinary, Baking and Pastry.
These classes are typically three to four hours per week during days and/or evenings. Time to prep before class and clean up after class will be allocated.
Classes are held at NFCI's campus, or may be offered online.
The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor's or Associates degree the rate of pay will be $20.60 per hour. For a Master's degree or higher the rate of pay will be $22.66 per hour.
In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, Niagara County Community College will accept applications on a continuous basis. Typical Work Activities
Prepare kitchen classroom for instruction
Demonstrate a variety of cooking and baking techniques
Assist students with tasks and time management
Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation practices
Clean and sanitize kitchen classroom to NFCI standards
Essential Functions
Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare, and present information. Must be able to operate computers and must adjust any teaching to the Americans with Disabilities Act provisions. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
