We are currently in search of a Part or Full Time CLinical Social Worker to contract near Chicago, Illinois.

Details:

  • Open to full/part

  • Tentative contract to July 30,2020

  • 8:00 am

  • 4:00 pm, 12:00 pm

  • 8:00 pm shifts if wanting Full TIme

  • Conduct psychosocial assessment

  • Provide interventions during client stay at facility

  • Provide short-term psychosocial counseling to assist clients in dealing effectively with their problems

  • Provide logistical discharge planning from housing solution

  • Perform related duties as required

Education and Licensure requirements:

  • MSW from accredited graduate school of social work
  • LCSW
  • Licensed in Michigan

VIEW JOBS 6/3/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-09-01T00:00 SCOPE: The Licensed Social Worker shall work with a healthcare team to provide support to CDC's Global Migration Task Force (GMTF) supporting CDC's preparedness, response and entry screening activities. Providing support and assistance during basic medical screening services at major US airports to identify and mitigate medical issues arising during initial COVID-19 screening. Providing Entry Screening Assessments, Record Keeping and Medical Clearance, Traveler Engagement, and Administrative support to CDC DGMQ. Location: O'hare International Airport - Lodging/travel NOT provided Shift and hours: 7:00AM-3:30PM/Tues-Sat or Sun-Thu 3:00PM-11:30PM/Tues-Sat or Sun-Thu DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Individually engage travelers and orient them to the active monitoring program. * Provide basic disease prevention education; address concerns, answer questions, and encourage participation in active monitoring; and review and verify contact information. * Collects and records psychosocial and physical data and assists with care and treatment of behavioral or psychological problems. * Gather, validate, and provide quality assurance for information collected in furtherance of CDC's response and entry screening activities. * Assist in transmitting records to local health departments for care and follow-up. * Counsels travelers with personal, behavioral or psychological problems. * Provide crisis intervention. * Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act. * Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility. * Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies. * Demonstrates proven success in stressful environments. * Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: * Must possess a current, active License in Clinical Counseling field with the ability to be favorably credentialed. * Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Health Counseling, Social Work or related field. * 5 years of experience as a licensed counselor. * Must be able to work while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as an N95 Respirator. * Must be proficient and have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. * Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations. * Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in Health Education, Health Counseling, Social Work or related field. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time * May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
