The part-time Clerk is an entry-level position within the Clerk of Recorder's Court. Incumbents are responsible for routine support activities requiring general office knowledge. Incumbents perform duties necessary in providing assistance to the public, ensuring the correct forms and paperwork are provided, and performing routine clerical support activities in support of the court.
Skills required for this role include effective communication and interpersonal skills; operating computers and applicable software; filing and maintaining records; and using standard office equipment.
This is a part time position working up to 29 hours a week. The position does not include benefits, paid leave nor holiday pay.
About the Clerk of Recorder's Court:
Recorder's Court handles traffic citations that are written by the Gwinnett County Police Department, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department, Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety, and the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Recorder's Court also handles all Gwinnett County code ordinance violations, such as citations written by Gwinnett County Animal Control, the Planning and Zoning/Inspection Department, the Business License Department, and the Environmental Health Department.
High School Diploma, or G.E.D.;
One year of general office experience; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
