We are seeking an individual, who has demonstrated a willing commitment to these values, holding them in high regard, to join our team in the position of part- time, Childcare Attendant at the Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center. The purpose of this position is to monitor and safely supervise children in the drop-in child care room, the "Barnyard." This position also assists with implementing age appropriate activities and crafts during Barnyard hours. In addition to that, employees in the barnyard may have to assist Front Desk staff with member and guest duties.
The hours of this position, though subject to change, are generally weekdays from 8 a.m. - noon, and rotating weekends.
Provides premier customer service to Recreation Center patrons by safely supervising all activities in the children's barnyard area to ensure safety is a priority.
Plans, organizes and directs various age appropriate recreation and leisure activities and special events for drop-in children.
Maintain records, prepare reports, and upholds all barnyard policies and procedures to ensure successful operation of the barnyard.
Performs light janitorial and maintenance duties.
Performs minor first aid assistance to children and Recreation Center patrons, as needed.
Regular attendance is required.
Six months to one year experience in customer service
First Aid, AED and CPR certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Valid Class C Texas Driver's License
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background screening
