Part-Time Cafeteria Worker - 2-3 Days/Week

At the present time, vacancies for part-time Cafeteria Workers exist within the Division of Administrative Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. We have multiple locations that are noted below where vacancies exist at this time.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required

• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required prior to hire

• PA school personnel health form required prior to hire

• Must be able to lift between 20 to 35 lbs. consistently on a daily basis and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the preparation and serving of quantity and quality food and to observe all methods of portion control in both preparation and serving then record on production sheet.

• Participate with cooking and baking of food in ovens, steamers, on stoves and in microwaves.

• Assist with family style service for Head Start as well as vending, catering, and cafeteria as needed.

• Follow HACCP (Food Safety Plan) procedures, maintain sanitary conditions and complete necessary recording of all temperatures, etc.

• Operate a point of sale (P.O.S.) computerized screen as per School Lunch Program guidelines, counts money, complete deposit slips and associated paperwork as needed.

• Responsible for limited food purchasing. Follow proper procedures for receiving and storing all food and supplies.

• Able to lift between 20 to 35 lbs. consistently on a daily basis and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

2023-2024 Rate:

• $14.48 to $15.51 per hour

• Schedule: 2-3 days per week, approximately 7:30A-1:30P but hours may vary by location, Up to 12-18 hours per week
