Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, the Registered Behavior Technician/Behavior Technician is responsible for working with children with disabilities in a clinic, home and/or community setting.
Job Group Classification: Jabbergym
Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $18-$26/hr
Depending on experience:
Behavior Technician: $18.00 - $21.50
Registered Behavior Technician: $22.00 - $26.00

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
This position focuses on Data Collection, Implementing ABA Techniques, and Data Entry into behavior tracking systems
Helps prepare materials for instructions when needed including data sheets and any visual supports
Prepares for session in advance to have materials readily available to for specific client goals
Applies the principles and methodologies of ABA for the purpose of increasing or decreasing targeted student behaviors
Responsible for maintaining and tracking hours and meeting supervision requirements as established by the BACB
Accurately record data on student behavior in real time. Data collection may include ABC, skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and session notes.
Proficient in the use of CPI
Able to understand and implement a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
Proficient in writing Behavior Emergency Reports (BER) and Special Incident Reports (SIR) and injury reporting, if applicable.
Maintains consistent awareness of clients whereabouts to ensure safety, including directing clients to appropriate areas.
Confers with agency staff on student status or the need for additional behavior planning.
Responds to emergency or crisis situations (e.g., injured student, fights, seizures, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns may include implementation of CPI if necessary
Must be flexible to report to a different location/student within the assigned region, if applicable
Responds quickly and effectively to requests made by Supervisors/BCBAs
May help train new behavior technicians
Once registered with the BACB, work closely with the BCBA to obtain hours needed to maintain registration
Attends trainings and meetings as requested
Participates in assessment, planning, and evaluation processes for students when asked
Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Skills or Qualifications:
High School Diploma, equivalent or two-year degree, or equivalent combinations of training and experience; official college transcripts may be requested
Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a treatment setting for students with learning, social, emotional, or mental disabilities
Must have or obtain valid Registered Behavior Technician certification through BACB within 90 days of employment and continuously maintain thereafter
Must provide One letter of Recommendation (LoR)
Must provide NPI number
Must receive clearance for DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & exclusion lists
TB Clearance & physical exam is required
Must provide Immunization Record or employer may ask to take Titer Test
Must provide current CPI, CPR, First Aid certification; or employer will provide training
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of standard business practices and procedures
Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet
Effective interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Applicant Agrees to complete the following tasks if offered the position:
DOJ & FBI background check
TB Testing & Physical Exam Concentra Authorization Form (we can accept TB results that have been taken within 60 days of hire date). If you do not have a previous TB result to submit, please use the attached form and follow the instructions below.
First TB Test Appointment must be done on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday between the hours of 8am 4:30pm
Second Appointment for reading results must be done 48 hours after your first appointment and it must be read by the time your initial skin test was performed (i.e. received first test on Monday at 2pm, second appointment is Wednesday by 2pm). If you do not show up for your 2nd appointment, you may delay your start date or forfeit the opportunity to join our team.
Physical Exam Appointment must be done with the TB Test Appointment
A copy of your highest level of education (e.g. High School Diploma, GED, or a degree from a domestic or international college or university).
Official record of College Transcripts is a requirement for Professionals, only. Paraprofessionals such as BT or RBTs are not required to provide official college transcripts.
A copy of your Immunization Record if not available, you will be required to have a Titer Test performed this can be done at Concentra.
One Letter of Recommendation (LoR)
A valid copy of your Auto Insurance with your name on it
A valid copy of your Drivers License
A valid copy of your RBT license/credential
A valid copy of your CPR/First Aid Certificate or BLS Certificate
A copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Card, if applicable
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
The noise intensity level is moderate to high
