What ... is a Day in the Life of a Butterfly Effects' RBT like?

  • What: You will work with 18 months to 18 years old clients on the autism spectrum to help them acquire new skills, improve communication and socialization, and reduce problem behaviors as directed by an individualized treatment plan. You will interact with the child and family, record behavior data from your client interaction, and collaborate with your BCBA.

  • When: Typically, therapy is delivered in 2 - 3 hour sessions 3-5 times per week and schedules are consistent from week to week. After school hours from 3-7 pm are emphasized.

  • Where: Therapy is delivered in your client's natural environment, typically at home, and in the presence of a parent or guardian.

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification or willingness to achieve certification in a face-to-face course.

  • Reliable transportation and insurance where applicable

  • Willingness to travel to and from clients' homes within 45 minutes of your location.

  • Sound technical and computer skills and reliable internet access.

  • Working with clients in their natural environments may require you to lift or move approximately 50 lbs and be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.

VIEW JOBS 12/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-05T00:00 Description The Toll Collector position is responsible for accurately classifying vehicles, collecting tolls and providing change to motorists traveling through a toll lane. This position is essentially in an outdoor work environment, subject to weather conditions. Crossing traffic lanes safely requires good mobility, vision and hearing to be alert to traffic conditions. Peak traffic conditions require a high volume of transactions to be processed under demanding conditions. This work impacts the traveling public and as such requires courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism at all times. Looking for part-time shifts with open availability to cover North Broward Regions. Must be available to pick up at least 4 shifts a week. Pay: $8.62 Hourly Job Responsibilities: * Proficiently operate the Department's toll collection equipment according to procedure. * Accurately classify vehicles and collect proper toll amounts from motorists traveling through a toll lane. * Accurately make change for various U.S. bill denominations in a timely manner, issue receipts to motorists and write insufficient fund slips. * Accurately complete operational reports reflecting toll lane activity. At end of shift, balance cash and prepare accurate cash deposits on monies collected and tickets received. * Speak and understand English proficiently to effectively communicate with motorists and respond to inquiries in a courteous, professional and helpful manner. * Provides on the job training to new hired toll collectors and existing employees when needed. Minimum Requirements Experience Required: * High school diploma or GED. * Successfully pass English, math and cash calculation tests. * Required to possess and maintain a current/valid driver's license. * Availability to work weekend hours based on business needs. * Ability to handle high traffic volume quickly and efficiently. * Ability to safely walk across toll lanes and climb/descend stairs while carrying up to 30 pounds. * Ability to walk long distances. * Ability to determine vehicle classification by visual inspection. * Ability to handle money and make change. * Ability to determine correct tolls based on a numerical table provided. * Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner. * Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. * Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly. * Interpersonal communication skills. * Cash handling experience on a computerized system.
