Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Pay Grade: This position is an hourly position at pay grade 103.
Attendance
Rotating 40-hour work week. 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Must be available to work additional hours as needed

Overview
The objective of this position is to maintain the City's developed parkland, facilities, right of ways, and beaches.
Responsibilities
Maintain outdoor maintenance such as litter, debris, planting, pruning, graffiti removal, landscaping and trash removal.
Wipe down all surfaces to sterilize, fill soap dispensers, towel dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, clean mirrors, sinks, walls, toilets and urinals
Responsible for special event set up and disassembly of equipment and conference rooms
Responsible for patrolling gulf beach areas for sea turtle sightings during the Kemp's Ridley Nesting Season
Immediately report all sightings and nests to supervisors
Must be able to identify and provide location information and wait until a first responder arrives
Must be dependable and able to withstand weather conditions like wind, rain, heat, humidity, and be able to stand for long periods of time
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
