Parks Technician I

Duties: Report to the Parks & Recreation Manager.

Sets up all sports fields; performs lawn and landscape maintenance on City parks, City facilities and ball fields including litter abatement and restrooms. Performs commercial lawn, landscape and irrigation maintenance. Performs commercial tractor mowing and clean-up of large acreage, right-of-ways, fields, ditches and lots.

Performs building maintenance such as painting, plumbing, electrical and carpentry. Assists with annual holiday festivities such as Arbor Day, Drug Free Greenville, Holiday Tree and Light Ceremony, ect. Drives pick-up trucks and utility trailers.

Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent with one to two years of landscape maintenance and building maintenance )plumbing and small engine repair) experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must possess a valid State driver's license.

Pay Rate: D.O.Q.   SIGN ON BONUS $1000.00 (SPLIT)

Hours: Full-Time Position. 40 hours per week
