Parks Operations Technician

As a Park Operations Technician for the City, you will be providing manual labor to ensure the timely construction, repair, and maintenance of the City's park system. This position also performs routine maintenance of athletic fields and turf including, but not limited to, mowing, fertilizing, spraying, painting, and irrigating.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Construct and maintain assigned rights-of-way and City Park grounds.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on the City Park buildings and equipment.

• Respond to park patron routine inquiries and enforce park rules and regulations.

• Maintain City tools and equipment in safe and effective operation condition.

• Perform rounds of park facilities including restrooms to pick up trash, and empty trashcans, and inspect areas for damage and vandalism.

• May be assigned temporarily to other department to provide related support.

• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Relatable Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in maintenance, grounds, parks, general labor, landscaping, or similar.

Training, Licenses, and Certifications: Valid Class C Texas driver's license.
