Position Description

Does your life style benefit from working Nights, Weekends and Holidays? The Town of Marana is seeking aMaintenance Associate I to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working with a dynamic team in the Parks Division.

This position is required to work the p.m. shift (2 pm - 10:30 pm), holidays, and *weekends.

• Weekend schedule: day shift available on rotation.

Expected Hiring Range:$15.61/hr - $19.12/hr

Salary Range:$15.61/hr - $22.64/hr

• placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget

Examples of Duties

• Performs building maintenance, custodial services, janitorial duties, and trash control for parks facilities

• Transports equipment using trucks and trailers

• Provides assistance and great customer service to citizens in the parks

• Completes daily electronic work reports

• Assists with various department led projects

• Assists with Town special events

• May be required to work around inmates

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 6 months of experience in janitorial services, custodial services, manual labor, or related field

• Valid Arizona driver license

• Must pass a pre-employment physical, a 50 pound lift test, and audiogram

• Ability to pass both the Town ofMaranabackground check and a motor vehicle records check

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions maybe considered.
