Collaborate with the Interpretive Educator to provide Youth Programs and Event Outreach to the community focused on nature and wellness.Collaborate with the Recreation Outreach supervisor with the planning of the following events:oBald Eagle DaysoFejervary Service Clean up-daysoFamily Fun DaysoYouthFestoHalloween at Fejervary.Develop educational signage and youth activities for the Annual Holiday Display; 2017 is Polar Express.Implement the Vander Veer summer theme, concert series, and movie nights for the community.Facilitate the Enabling Garden in partnership with the Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation Member.Develop curricula for classroom and after school education and outreach. Collaborate to develop youth programming for Little Sprouts and Kindernature.Implement My Little Wheelbarrow programming.Provide drug-free, educational, nurturing and safe supervised environments for youth.Maintain and uphold confidentiality practices and policies.Immediately report harmful youth behavior to appropriate parks department and program officials.The program may require the member to engage in other allowable activities that are not specifically outlined in the position description, but that support the AmeriCorps program design and which help the program meet its goals. In no circumstance will members be asked to perform prohibited activities outlined in the Member Service Agreement.Attend all trainings.
