Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UGA Auxiliary Parking Services deck operations, monitoring and compliance.
Previous supervisory experience.
Position Summary
Direct and control work of parking services monitors and Sr. monitors. On a daily basic, inspects the work of all monitors and Sr. monitors to ensure completion and that the work is done to appropriate standards. Approves, signs, and records the completion of work and maintains records. Makes sure that all are constantly alert and working efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Considerable knowledge of parking rules and regulation. Considerable knowledge of university properties, parking areas, and traffic flow.
Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work and training of subordinates.
Ability to communicate courteously with faculty, staff, students and visitors.
Physical Demands
Adverse climates.
Working with disgruntled customers.
Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Supervise, train, and assign duties to personnel.
Provide security by patrolling all levels of parking facility, surrounding deck area, and general campus parking area for unauthorized vehicles, litter control, suspicious persons, forbidden and/or illegal activities.
Oversee cash handling processes during special events held throughout year.
Enforce parking rules and regulations.
Provide back-up and support for co-workers in the event of special events, employee absences, or on a contingency basis.
Communicate with subordinates and other shift supervisors about daily operations or policy changes.
Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities
Develop personnel schedules for regular operations and special events to ensure appropriate coverage of the parking structure. Perform and coordinate cleaning schedule of parking facility to ensure cleanliness at all times.
Direct traffic in and around parking structure to ensure safe and orderly ingress and egress.
Write and issue parking citations.

Communicate issues and problems with appropriate chain of command.
Attend and participate in departmental meetings as needed.
Monitor equipment and perform maintenance and report needed repairs/maintenance in a timely manner.
