Receives customer payments in the surface lot and parking garage
Records customer settlements in a computerized cashiering system
Communicates effectively with internal and external customers
Greet the customers utilizing the 10/5 rule (Eye contact followed by a greeting)
Utilize the customer surname when appropriate
Provide superior customer service that is both courteous and efficient
Take ownership of customer complaints and notify a shift manager immediately
Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the department and the property of Borgata.
Responsible for maintaining accurate property information through daily use of talent portal, email and other forms of communication
Must be able to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods of time
Must have the manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and be capable of viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time
Must be able to work in a confined environment and be able to open and close a window that is exposed to environmental issues and weather conditions
Must be able to travel to and from a cashiering location that is external to the main building
Must be able lift up to 15lbs.
Must have the manual dexterity to allow for sorting, compiling and reconciling of paper documents, coin and currency for balancing end of day bank
Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, vehicle exhaust, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
Job Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a point of sale system, is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in addition, subtraction and the operation of calculator/adding machine
Prior cashiering experience is desired. Must be able to communicate (speak and understand) in English
