TYPICAL DUTIES Conducts entrance station sales including collection of parking, pet, zoo admission, fishing, boating, and camping fees.
Provides information and directions to public; answers visitor questions.
Maintains daily records of visitor use; maintains and records cash sales; fills out incident and accident reports as needed.
Maintains entrance station kiosk with all supplies and equipment required; may perform basic housekeeping duties as required.
May operate paddle-boat rental facilities and perform related activities; may operate motor boats; may assist customers in boarding and exiting boats and fitting safety equipment.

License : Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Experience : Six months of paid experience in handling cash and making change.
KNOWLEDGE Basic fee collection and accounting practices; basic mathematics and record keeping; basic principles and practices of public relations; basic principles and practices of inventory control.
ABILITY Understand and follow oral and written directions; deal effectively with the public; count money and make change accurately; maintain records; work independently; operate a calculator and a two-way radio; read and interpret park rules and regulations; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others .
