Parcel Shipping - Material Handler

Want to bring your skills and experience to work in a multifaceted, sophisticated environment? This is your opportunity. We are hiring a material handler to join our Memphis Distribution Center team. Our business is growing. You will receive and ship materials in our Regional Logistics Center.

You will perform various manual tasks related to the operation of the logistics center. Responsible for ensuring all orders are accurately and efficiently distributed in compliance with specified customer-shipping instructions. Responsible for the movement of material throughout the distribution center following safety, quality and efficiency guidelines performed in the following work areas:

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. Shift Hours: 12:30 PM-9:00 PM Occasional Saturdays as required

Duties include:

• Receive incoming shipments of materials under company standard receiving practices.

• Unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.

• Ensure accurate merchandise is received, picked, packed and shipped in requested quantities and in the accurate container.

• Stock, pick and pack materials to and from bin locations and in processing areas according to company standard practices.

• Load materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.

• Move materials to/from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks.

• Verify receipts against delivery manifest and/or purchase order.

• Verify shipments against delivery requirements and/or packing slips.

• Pack a variety of products in standard containers according to prescribed practices.

• Cover products with packing material to prevent shifting or breakage.

• Assemble orders for pickup or for loading on the delivery truck.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• 1+ years of relevant material handler or warehouse operations experience for entry into this role

• Able to lift up to 40LBS. occasionally
