DUTIES:

  • Responsible to Site Coordinator, Special Education Teacher, and Special Education Supervisor

2.Provide instructional assistance, under the direction of the teacher, to a small group or individual student(s).

3.Responsible for providing clerical services such as preparing, duplicating, organizing, and distributing materials to children and other miscellaneous clerical tasks.

4.Assist in feeding during lunch and snack periods when needed.

5.Feed, diaper, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.

6.Perform additional duties assigned by the Site Coordinator of this summer program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference will be given to staff already working as paraprofessionals or support staff during the academic year.

  • Experience working with disabled students in an educational setting

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educational staff.

  • Flexible regarding employment assignment.

  • Availability required for entire program work schedule.
