General Education/Credit Recovery Para Educator

Helena School District # 1 has an opening for a full-time 7 hours per school day General Education/Credit Recovery Para Educator.  The position is presently assigned to Capital High School and provides support for the schools credit recovery recovery Classroom. 

Some of what you will do:

• Assist with individual and small group pupil instruction; tutors pupils at teachers' request.

• Assist in maintaining discipline and other functions.

• Assist with attendance and related clerical matters.

• May escort students to and from various rooms.

To become part of this dedicated team, you need:

• High School diploma or equivalent; 

• At least three (3) months of related experience and/or training;

• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the District.

• Sucessful candidate should be willing to complete the Para Educators Achieving Standards Sucessfully (PASS) training

Entry level salary range is $14.15 to $17.68 per hour depending on education level and applicable relevant work experience as determined by the District and includes a comprehensive benefit package including but not limited to: paid sick and vacation leave, 3 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, up to 13 school calendar related paid days, health benefit plan and retirement.
