INSTRUCTIONAL PARAPROFESSIONALS (IPP) (Special Education)

Various

.813 FTE; 6.5 hours a day; Monday - Friday; 9-Months a year

$14.81/hour for 120-day probationary period, then $16.45

TRS Retirement; Vacation/Sick Leave

  • Performs instructional activities as planned, assigned and organized by professional staff for individual and/or small groups of students

  • Works with the teacher with students who need to learn positive behaviors in order to be successful in the classroom setting

  • Helps in the selection, preparation and organization of materials appropriate to students' needs in accordance with designated lessons

  • Collects data and reports student progress to the teacher

  • Must have previous experience working with children

  • Requires a High School graduate or equivalent

  • Requires 60 semester/90 quarter college credits or successful completion of the WorkKeys Test to meet requirement of ESSA.  (To take the WorkKeys Test at the Lincoln Center, call 281-5110 or email lynchl@billingsschools.org. The cost is $50.00)

  • Pre-employment physicals are required for this position and are paid for by the district.
