Seeking full-time, in the office, Paraplanner to step into instrumental role in fast-paced, high volume investment advisory and financial planning practice to join our close net family orientated team. Work as an employee for an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial as a supportive, non-sales role employee of the firm. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities. This is a full time in office position, no remote.

Position Functions:

  • Prepare initial product solution, support materials and reports for Advisor(s) to review and use in client meetings

  • Prepare charts, graphs, tables, letters, and other visual aids to be used in implementation meetings

  • Develop portfolio and product solution recommendations that will fit the client's risk tolerance and time frame as well as develop appropriate product deliverables for the Advisor(s) to review with the client

  • Understand office investment thesis and connect proper investments to client portfolios and time frames for Advisor(s) review/approval

  • Conduct ongoing investment research with reports and analysis

  • Onboard clients and ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within CRM

  • Prepare letters, running reports, and securely delivering data to clients in timely manner

  • Accurately complete trades as instructed by advisors (must be licensed accordingly)

  • Follow work requests to completion

  • Documentation of notes, trades, and client conversations into CRM

  • Understand and process money movement request from clients and Advisor(s)

  • Answering incoming phone calls, questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts

  • Proactively and consistently communication with Advisor(s)

  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise Financial

  • Maintain confidentiality with strong ethical standard and professionalism

  • Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the Advisor's practice

  • Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow

  • Diligent follow up on to do items, open issues, and checklists.

Education/experience and other requirements:

  • Experience in Financial Services industry is a must

  • Some college experience preferred and/or 3-5 years of similar investment related experience

  • FINRA Series 7, 63 & 66 not required initially but preferred however if not licensed, strong candidates will already have or be able to immediately study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including the Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance licenses

  • Preferred experience with Salesforce/CRM, Thomson-Reuters, Morningstar Workstation, Outlook, Navi plan and/or other trading platform programs/tools

  • In-office position

Pay/Benefits:

  • Competitive pay commensurate with experience (Range starting $50,000 - $60,000)

Base Pay Salary

Colorado Residents Only: The estimated base salary for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 / year. Base salaries are determined in part based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
