Specifically, we are the Insider Threat Program, and we Identify, Investigate, and Mitigate insider threats to Verizon Media. We develop innovative investigative strategies and collaborate with other Paranoids to build tools to detect malicious internal actors.

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated analyst who will use Verizon Media internal tools and other systems to detect and respond to insider threats. You know how to protect sensitive corporate and user data from unauthorized access at Internet scale and will apply advanced technical, behavioral, and investigative solutions to ensure that Verizon Media data remains secure. You will collaborate with colleagues from across the organization and know how to communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

In a typical day, you may find yourself:
Utilizing and developing Verizon Media internal tools to monitor, detect and respond to suspicious activity, including fraud, theft/access of sensitive information, inappropriate access to user data, data leaks, and sabotage
Utilizing and developing user behavioral analytic techniques to detect anomalies, across a variety of products, platforms, and services
Partnering with Paranoids, Customer Care, Legal, and product teams on investigations of suspicious activity
Driving organizational change to make Verizon Media a safer and more secure place to work
Sharing your knowledge and findings with leaders and employees throughout Verizon Media
Bachelor's in Security or Technology-related discipline
2+ years of experience in insider threat detection, audit, analysis, or incident response systems and procedures
Experience analyzing internal abuse, internal fraud, data loss prevention, incident response, or counterintelligence matters
Knowledge and experience using Splunk, User Behavioral Analytics, or Data Loss Prevention (DLP) products to execute complex search queries and generate reports
Knowledge of data sources and tools used by Cyber Security Teams
Comfort with ambiguity, and a self-starter capable of working cross-functionally with engineering, policy, legal, and product teams
Excellent written communication skills and the proven ability to understand and present complex technical information and metrics to both technical and nontechnical audiences
Experience creating sophisticated Splunk dashboards
Incident response/Security Operations Center background
Big-data platform implementation
Experience interviewing witnesses or subjects of investigations
Knowledge of Insider Threat Behavioral Models
CERT Insider Threat Analyst or Program Manager Certification
