ABOUT THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
The Emergency Department has 40 beds located in three distinct areas. The main ED (12 beds, 6 trauma bays and a 3 room psych pod), Fast Track (7 beds) and ER 2 (12 curtained rooms). Hall beds are added in the main ED as needed to add capacity.
There is a triage area and business office in the front of the ED to evaluate and register patients. The emergency department is not designated as a trauma center, however, with its proximity to I-75, it cares for trauma patients as needed. Last year the ED saw approximately 50,000 patients.
June 2019 marked groundbreaking for new Emergency Department and patient tower.
