Position Overview:
As a Paramedic Instructor, you will be teaching healthcare providers National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) courses in Orange County. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing emergency medical skills and knowledge. Your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive training modules, incorporating the latest advancements in emergency care protocols and techniques. You'll foster a dynamic learning environment, encouraging active participation and critical thinking to ensure they are well-equipped to handle diverse medical emergencies effectively. Additionally, your role will involve staying abreast of evolving medical practices and regulations, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care across Orange County healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
Plans, coordinates, and teaches National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) courses.
Coordinates and schedules AMLS courses based on the needs of Orange County, CA
Trains personnel in AMLS course objectives, curriculum, and instructor manual.
Attend meetings and prepare reports as requested
Produce and maintain course documentation as specified in the NAEMT Instructor manual including but not limited to: course rosters, graded written exam answer sheets, course evaluations, registration forms, and others.
Establishes and maintains documents relative to training, information guides, and procedures affecting the division's activities in the program.
Provides other duties in support of the operation as required.
Required Qualifications:
Unrestricted CA Paramedic License
CA Driver's License (minimum of 2 years) with an acceptable driving record
National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) 4th Edition Instructor Certification required within 30 days of hire. If you do not have this, DocGo will provide this to you at no cost.
Minimum of one year of Paramedic/Advanced Life Support instructor experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignment
Considerable knowledge of procedures and techniques for administering medical care
Knowledge of instructional strategies
Skilled in developing and implementing curriculum
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication capabilities
Associate's degree (preferred)
American Heart Association (AHA) instructor credentials preferred
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider preferred
